A new way of thinking about work injuries

Recovery at work strategic roundtable

GAP will be hosting a strategic roundtable on 5 May at NSW Parliament House in Sydney to discuss the health benefits of work, early intervention and how to improve the recovery rates for injured employees.

Public policy and implementation institute Global Access Partners, in association with NSW Department of Family and Community Services, State Insurance Regulatory Authority (NSW), Insurance & Care NSW (icare) and WorkSafe Victoria will meet with a select audience of 60 participants, including government agencies, employers, insurers, industry associations, return-to-work coordinators and workplace rehabilitation specialists in an open and constructive debate about faster-return-to-work practices.

  • Dr Alex Gyani, Behavioural Insights Unit, NSW Premier & Cabinet
  • Carmel Donnelly, Executive Director, Workers & Home Building Compensation Regulation, State Insurance Regulatory Authority (NSW)
  • Dr Anne Daly, Clinical Consultant, WorkSafe Victoria
  • Helen Rogers, Executive Director, Participation and Inclusion Directorate, NSW Family & Community Services
  • Eugene McGarrell, General Manager, Community & Health Engagement, icare NSW

Dr Norman Swan, host of The Health Report at ABC Radio National, will facilitate the discussion.
