What is your vision for Australia?

Vision for Australia

Today we are reaching out to every Australian as we embark on a major initiative to create a narrative and execute a vision for Australia. For this we want your input – your voice will be heard. At Global Access Partners (GAP) we have been running advisory bodies and policy consultations for 14 years. We have a strong online community. And now we are bringing it all together to create a synthesis of your views on the future of Australia.

We expect your input by the end of June. We will collect your ideas and produce a report that will be presented at the GAP Annual Growth Summit in September. Please contact Svetlana at sstankovic@openforum.com.au with your blog idea and help us actively shape the future of Australia.

    Future Vision

IDEAS re approach: – probably a series of futures with some kind of probability weighting – will need to consider key spheres of endeavour such as health; education; politics; resources and a like. – will need to articulate stepping stones to each separate vision element within each sphere – possibly based on three waves of implementation: over five years, over ten and over 20 years. Some Quick HEALTH SPHERE "futures" notes: – in twenty years public hospitals will hardly exist. They will be replaced by specialist centres. – in ten years abolish state health systems in favour of a single integrated national system. – in five years an increasing public vs private health services approach – in ten years most GP's will be online in some form. MY BIAS? – PCEHR is redundant – abolish primary and secondary care divides – national health care programs for action not more emergency beds – and I could go on.
