In praise of Jimmy Carter

The travails of Jimmy Carter’s Presidency long over-shadowed his exemplary qualities as a man, but his passing at the ripe old age of 100 reminds us once again that politicians can be honourable people, and offers a sharp contrast in style and character with the incoming incumbent of the White House.

Former US President Jimmy Carter is spending the last stage of his life in home hospice care at the age of 98 and will be remembered for his humanity and humility outside office as much as his achievements within it.
