    The Federal government has moved to toughen up laws on ‘extremism’ in the wake of the Bondi massacre in which Islamic terrorists murdered 15 people at a Jewish religious celebration, but defining ‘extremism’ can be a fraught issue in a liberal democracy which protects freedom of speech.
