Salvation

When walking along the downtown street, do you hear the guys playing instruments in some corners? Or do you notice the guys who are swiftly washing the windshields of cars waiting for the traffic lights when passing by a cross junction? They are homeless people living in cosmopolitan Sydney.

The Seven Lies of Kadeer

The July 5 riot that happened in China’s Xinjiang led to 184 dead, about 1,680 wounded, and many public facilities being were destroyed. Among the death, 137 were Han, 46 were Uygur and 1 was Hui. The deadly riot also brought Rebiya Kabeer,  Rebiya Kadeer leader of World Urghur Congress (WUC), into spotlight. China believes the WUC were the planners and instigators of the riot. 

How History Has Been Erased in China

Glorious as China’s 60th National Day may be, people the world over still remember the image of a single defiant protester halting a convoy of tanks in Beijing Tiananmen Square 20 years ago.

But Chinese youngsters born in the 1980s may not, owing much to the government’s control over domestic media.

Heavily influenced by the western media, Chinese youngsters will probably not get an objective view over this historical event. Thereafter, they may be used by some as tools for an anti-China purpose. If this is not what people expect, why cannot they be given the chance to have their own interpretation with all-round information?
