Let’s break the population taboo

The population explosion’s detrimental impact on the natural environment has been on my mind for the past three decades (yes, this message has been a long time coming…).

Population growth is by far the most important issue for  those concerned with sustainable development, CSR, human rights, environmental protection, social justice, climate change … the list goes on – YET has received very little attention.

I am delighted that the very well known and widely respected Sir David Attenborough is weighing into the discussion with a well considered perspective. This, and the fact that the Federal Government’s Sustainable Population, Sustainable Communities strategy is void of a long-term ecological sustainability vision prompted me to reflect on the state of affairs and what can be done. to integrate population issues in the work we do …. click here to read more.
