Science Week aims to inspire

Australians will be encouraged to celebrate all things science and technology related as the annual National Science Week kicks off on August 11.

Science Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists’ to the world of knowledge. It also aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits and to encourage younger people to become fascinated by the world we live in.

The 2012 school’s theme for National Science Week is ‘Energy Evolution’ taking the idea from the UN International Year of Sustainable Energy for All.
