The Sydney Opera House will again be the home for TEDx Sydney on Saturday, 26 April. TED is a not-for-profit enterprise that aims to broadcast ‘ideas worth spreading’ and invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes.

TED started as a conference in 1984, bringing together people from Technology, Entertainment and Design in California.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience with speakers and performers. TEDx Sydney is a day of ideas, storytelling, creativity and innovation. It aims to create and foster a sense of community and to provide a cultural focus for conversation and debate.

For those unable to secure a Concert Hall ticket, they can still attend and watch the event on the big screen in the Sydney Opera House Studio free and open to all. TEDx Sydney also streams all talks live to a worldwide audience.
