Cultivating optimism through meditation and leadership

| January 17, 2019

In today’s global climate, where so much of what we see, hear, think, feel and talk about is less than positive, we could view optimism as either a fantasy or an absolute necessity.

In this case, optimism is not just for survival, it is essential for creating the kind of personal and collective energy we need to move us, both as individuals and as a race, as a human family, toward lives we would love to be living; towards communities and societies who would leave legacies to their grandchildren that would be more than just sustainable, they would be beautiful and joyful and kind and wise.

Leading this kind of movement is inspiring, challenging, rewarding and often magical…and it falls to each and everyone of us to lead, be that in our working context, our family or community lives.

While optimism gives us, the enthusiasm to lead effectively, when we combine it with the stabilising influence of meditation, we can face the frustrations and obstacles that often arise and the we find that anything is possible.

Join myself, Keith Suter, Charlie Hogg, Caroline Ward and others in dialogue in this one-day event in Sydney on February 2nd on how to sustain an optimistic outlook and a meditation practice for effective leadership.

“…spiritual optimism and a strong faith can lift one’s life beyond imagination.” Paul Mogote
