Germany has won the 2014 FIFA World Cup. They beat Argentina 1-0 on Sunday evening. It’s Germany’s fourth World Cup victory. The last win in 1990 also came over Argentina.
22-year-old Mario Goetze’s goal in extra time won Germany the World Cup trophy.
On 8 July Germany won the semi-final against Brazil in a resounding 7-1 in Belo Horizonte. They scored five goals in the first 18 minutes of the match and caused some upset Brazilian fans to leave the stadium early.
