Get blue

Early diagnosis and research are the two ways to beat cancer. Blue September is raising funds for awareness of cancers affecting men and cancer research.
The nationwide campaign aims to raise funds for Australian Prostate Cancer Research and Australian Cancer Research Foundation charities. Blue September wants to help men reduce the risk of developing cancer by making better lifestyle choices.
Lives could be saved by making healthy lifestyle decisions such as quitting smoking, reducing alcohol intake, taking care in the sun, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and eating a balanced diet.
A few facts: Australia has the highest rate of prostate cancer in the developed world. 1 in 2 Australian men will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, compared to 1 in 3 Australian women. In recent decades cancer mortality rates have fallen due to vital advances in research.
